So, life is just sort of hectic lately.

Went to go to Barnes and Noble today to get a book for a class. Back the saturn out of the garage and it slips and goes into a snow bank. Cue an hour and a half long bitch, push the car, and whine session from my parents. Because, apparently, I purposely put it in there. Finally, get the car out, drive to B&N, they don't have the book. I go next door to best buy and buy myself a DVD in consolation. I didn't need it, but hey.

Then, my cat, Velcro is dying. He's seventeen years old. He goes through brief stints where he won't eat, gets ridiculously thin, then recovers. Today I fed the pets to find him retching nothing up in basement, giving out piteous moans. I thought he needed to be put down, I wrapped him in a towel and held him, he started purring just like nothing was wrong... I don't think he wants to go yet, but he's piteous. He just gets thinner and thinner, but he's still wandering around (wobbly). I don't know. I think maybe he should be put down before we go to Colorado. We're putting him in a kennel, and I would never forgive myself if he died there. No one would pay any attention to him anyhow. He's emaciated, his eyes are weepy and disgusting.. he's just a mess, but at the same time, he's still got that spunk. I'm just torn. I guess the family will decide. I'd rather not go there with him when they put him down anyhow because it will tear me apart. He was my first ever pet, we got him from the humane society... I don't know. I don't know I don't know.

Here's the boy in a happier time.

I don't know. I guess he'll tell us when he's ready.

My first pet, Sheba (also a cat) was 16 when she died.. older than I was, because I was 14 at the time. It was the most heartbreaking thing ever when we had to put her down, but she had so many problems, like Velcro. I was always her favorite so I knew I had to be with her when she was put down.. one of the hardest things I've ever done. It's just awful to lose a pet. :(
